The VMware go-to-market plan separates our sales teams into three distinct areas: Global Accounts, Enterprise Accounts and Commercial Accounts.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Account Manager Public is the primary driver for big deals and run-rate transactional business within the Russia territory. The mission of this group is to solidify existing named customer accounts and elevate VMware to a more strategic partner in the customer’s business. Our solution set is viewed as a ‘platform’ within an account and changes the role that IT plays within that account from being considered a cost burden to a strategic deployment.



Objectives

- strategic development of named customer base in the Russia territory –banking/insurance clients
- expansion of VMware's foothold in those accounts selling full range of VMware products and services
- achieving and over-achieving revenue and MBO targets
- regular and accurate forecasting in Siebel to report on business

Requirements What you bring to the table:

- Experience in selling enterprise software
- Experience in building/generating a geography-based or vertical business
- Experience with high-transaction sales (high volume deals)
- Significant track record of quota over-achievement versus peers
- Consistent achievement with a background in exceeding quota
- Knowledge in selling complex systems products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building and leveraging channel sales relationships
